In partnership with Robes and 30 churches in Southwark and Lambeth, Amott Road Baptist Church supports people experiencing homelessness during the cold winter months. Devoted volunteers from the church and local community run the shelter with emergency on-call support available from the staff. We strive towards creating a warm, welcoming, family-like atmosphere within our shelter, to offer guests a space of love and belonging. As a charity, Robes cares for the physical wellbeing of guests, as well as finding tailored solutions to help guests find a pathway out of homelessness. Amott Road is hosting the Winter Night shelter on Thursday evenings from Nov 2025 to mid Jan 2026.

There are lots of ways to help Robes and Amott Road as they support folk experiencing homelessness. You can volunteer, cook a meal or something tasty to go with a cup of tea, or make a donation. If you would like to volunteer at Amott Road’s shelter, please get in touch with Linda through our ‘Contact’ page.
